It is very attractive fixture, but the two bulbs show as "bright spots" when its on and it looks funny. I tried frosted bulbs, but it shows up that way, which I don't really like. If I bought it in a local store; I'd return it.If my arms weren't so tired putting it up, I probably would turn the base so the bulbs would be left to right and wouldn't show much (it's hung in a narrow hallway). Right now, the bulbs are front to back, so you see this bulb glowing against the glass cover.Also, trying to line up the base on the ceiling with the bottom plate is a pain in the butt. It's like trying to find a keyhole in the dark.......

Needed it to match my dining room light ....

and it does. Found this a little hard to install but that was probably because I was doing it alone on a high step stool in a small area. I used the previous fittings connections and I don't think they were entirely level as when I installed this light there was a gap of about a centimeter on one side. I managed to turn the light around somewhat so that dropped side faced the window where it would not be seen. My family were very impressed with my efforts.The first delivery the light was broken in 5 places, so had to return and await a replacement. I blame UPS who have a dreadful rep around here. I'm thinking about replacing another 2 lights in my hallway as well, only next time I'll get my son-in-law to do the work :)
