beautiful and wonderful fan

We ordered 4 of these fans for our house and we LOVE them. they are beautiful and work really well... very quiet, responsive to the remote, and gorgeous. we are thrilled and would def get again.

Poor Customer Service and quality

When we moved into our new home we purchased Casablanca fans for the master bedroom, kids rooms and living room. We spent over $6,000 on the fans and their installation. The 54inch living room fan started to fail within the first year, with the light blinking on and off. We replaced this fan under warrantyMy son's bedroom fan failed exactly 1 year + 1 day after installation. The electronic control unit failed. The $80 replacement would not work and the factory service could not help. The fan was replaced with a competitor's fan.The master bedroom fan light failed. The manual called for pushing up on the lamp and turning clockwise. The light could not be pushed up - or it was jammed. Again the service was of no help. We've now purchased a separate lamp for the bedroom.So three years and three fan failures out of 6 fans, together with customer service that was unable to adequately address any of the fan problems.So, while you may think they look great, think, do you really want to purchase and install something that should provide years of failure free service with a likely 50% failure rate. If the answer is 'yes' then go ahead and purchase one,if no then there are many other really good reputable fan companies that provide high quality fans. I know because, I've replaced 50% of our Casablanca fans with their competors fans.

Nice looking fan

Got two of these a couple of weeks ago and have had not problems with them. Except one problem - the flange that the light unit mounts to was not level with the rest of the fan body. I had to "make" it work by wedging the light attaching base to make that level to the body so the light unit would sit right. Both fans had this problem, one was worse than the other. It looks like a design flaw or the nut that holds the flange on was just way over tightened at the factory. If that flange was not messed up, I would give this fan 5 stars - I'm actually temped to only give it 3 because of that one issue but I do like the fan so far. Other than that, not a hard install.The light is not very bright for being 100 watt but if you dont plan to do a lot of heavy reading, its fine for "mood"Both fans are in the same room and are nice looking, they run quiet and do move a lot of air.
